Appreciation Night
This is a fun and inspiring idea. If you’re a husband, you can organize this with 1 or more of your best friends that are also husbands. If you’re a wife, you would do the same with other wives. The example I provide will be from the wife’s perspective since wives would be more willing to do this.
Organize a special dinner with another wife or wives at one of your homes. Tell all the wives that the real purpose of the dinner is top secret and to only tell their husbands that you are all getting together for a nice dinner.
Each wife is responsible for preparing a speech detailing all the reasons why she loves and appreciates her husband as well as purchasing a special gift for her husband that he would truly appreciate. After dinner, have everyone meet in the living/family room and then announce to the husbands the real reason for the get together. One by one, each wife stands up and faces her husband and publicly proclaims her love and appreciation for him and then offers up her gift.
As a precaution, make sure you have Kleenex available because you will certainly need it. It will be something that your husbands and wives will never forget.
