Tom and Rita first met on the set of the sitcom Bosom Buddies. They later began dating while filming the movie Volunteers together in 1985. They also starred together in Sleepless in Seattle and have co-produced several films together.

Careers

Tom Hanks – Tom began his career at a community theatre. His film debut was made in 1979 in the low budget slasher film “He Knows You’re Alone”. He later landed the roll of Kip Wilson in Bosom Buddies. Director Ron Howard was impressed with Tom’s acting ability and hired him to star in Splash in 1984, which launched his movie career and sent him into super star status. Tom has won several awards including the Oscar for Best Actor for his role in Forest Gump.

Rita Wilson – Rita’s career began with a 1972 guest appearance on an episode of The Brady Bunch entitled, Greg’s Triangle. She then appeared on several TV shows in the 1970’s and 1980’s. She also preformed on Broadway in the show Chicago. She appeared in many movies, which include “Sleepless in Seattle” and “Raise Your Voice”. Rita won a Drama Logue Award for her performance in “As You Like It”.
