If giving your kidney away can’t keep a man now days, then I’m all out of suggestions for the ladies. In 2005, Ann Lopez donated her kidney to her husband, George Lopez. George said at the time, "I can't pay her back, but what I can do is make her as happy as she thought I would when we first got married."

It seems as though that promise has gone unfulfilled. George and his wife of 17 years have decided to end their marriage.

George’s rep told PEOPLE, "The decision is amicable and by mutual agreement."

George and Ann were married in 1993 and have a child together, Mayan Lopez.

"They remain dedicated parents, and committed partners in business and their philanthropic organization, The Lopez Foundation," the rep says.
